Hello NFC Clients and Friends!

It has been a minute, as the kids say.  Despite retiring from a 31-year teaching career in Durham Public Schools (06/2025), Norman Financial Coaching has gone dormant because my retirement didn't quite stick.  Since January 1, I have been fully immersed in developing content and providing individual support to educators for the re-imagined Take10^TM for Financial Fitness initiative.

The opportunity to scale up the knee-to-knee efforts of NFC by developing content, resources, and a community-based support system for Durham and Chapel Hill-Carrboro City schools is a true passion project for me.   I am fortunate to work with a talented team, and we are eager to make a significant impact, aided by many of you who are already engaged as Take10^TM Ambassadors and participants.

What is Take10^TM? Take10^TM (minutes) for Financial Fitness is designed to transform financial anxiety into confidence through a simple, engaging coaching experience tailored specifically for educators and staff. Take10^TM  supports the people who support students. By strengthening the value of the existing district benefits, we provide a starting point that feels personal, practical, and sustainable. Our goal is to help educators feel more secure, supported, and empowered today even as they prepare for a successful work-optional (early) retirement.

How to Get Involved?

• Attend our bi-monthly Wellness Wednesday support sessions (in person and virtual).

• Visit the Take10^TM Financial Fitness Center for educator-centric“Power Moves.”

• Schedule a 30-minute virtual consultation with yours truly.

• Reflect this summer on your plan. Failure to plan is planning to fail. Take10^TM can help!
  

Take10^TM has nothing to sell, only support to give. Look for a Power Move release on a regular basis, starting tomorrow!
